10th Pass: Must have passed Secondary School Examination (Class 10) with passing marks in Mathematics and English.
Local Language: The candidate must have studied the local language of the applied circle at least up to 10th standard.
Compulsory Skills: Basic computer knowledge and Cycling skills are mandatory.
Minimum Age: 18 Years
Maximum Age: 40 Years
Age relaxation: SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years).
The GDS employees are paid "Time Related Continuity Allowance" (TRCA) plus Dearness Allowance:
Branch Postmaster (BPM): ₹12,000 – ₹29,380
ABPM / Dak Sevak: ₹10,000 – ₹24,470
The selection is 100% merit-based.
System-Generated Merit List: Based on marks obtained in the 10th standard (calculated to 4 decimal places).
Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will be called for physical verification of original documents.
Final Engagement: Based on successful DV and medical fitness.
